Sound Bath Meditation

 

A sound bath is a meditative experience where participants are "bathed" in sound waves produced by various instruments, typically including gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and tuning forks. The goal is to promote deep relaxation, reduce stress, and encourage healing.

During a session, participants usually lie down in a comfortable position while the facilitator plays the instruments, creating soothing, harmonious sounds. These vibrations are thought to have a calming effect on the mind and body, helping people enter a parasympathetic state, where the body can rest and restore itself.
